Drivers Ed Through Art

The Drivers Ed Through Art program educates students on the dangers of distracted and impaired driving, the importance of obeying traffic laws, seat belt use, pedestrian safety, and the principles of Nikhil’s Law and New Jersey’s Graduated Driver License (GDL) program. Through interactive presentations, personal storytelling, and collaborative art experiences, students engage in meaningful conversations about traffic safety in a creative and impactful way.
Working in partnership with schools, the Foundation creates permanent student-driven traffic safety artwork with minimal disruption to class schedules and at no cost to the schools. The completed murals serve as lasting reminders for students and their communities to “Drive Smart. Save a Life.”

Student-created artwork from the program is featured in a statewide public service awareness campaign displayed on NJ TRANSIT buses, light rail, and train stations throughout New Jersey. Through this campaign, the Foundation raises awareness about traffic safety issues and shares its message with thousands of commuters across the state.
Our goal is not only to educate young drivers about safe driving practices, but also to empower students to become ambassadors for traffic safety within their schools and communities.
